Publisher's Statement

The Philosopher's Stone is published by The Paracelsian Order from its headquarters at Madre Grande Monastery in Dulzura, California. The order is a religious, monastic, healing, teaching, nonprofit corporation, and accepts men and women monks of all ages, religions, and cultural expressions. We encourage all to live according to a positive path, leading to spiritual perfection. The Philosopher's Stone is our periodical expression of this ideal. As divinity expresses itself through diversity, we welcome letters, articles, art or poetry from anyone for consideration for publication in future editions. The opinions expressed by contributers are not necessarily those of the publisher. What is the Purpose of
The Paracelsian Order?

The Paracelsian Order is a church. It has been recognized as such by the IRS and granted an income tax exemption for its religious purpose. We are an eclectic religion that welcomes members of all faiths. According to our Articles of Incorporation, our purpose is:

• "to be a religious, healing, and teaching organization of the Johannine Catholic Church and the Temple of the Absolute Light of the One Holy Catholic Church; and
• "to encourage spiritual growth and development; and
• "to further selfless service that benefits mankind and the earth and its creatures."

Our Rule states it sumewhat differently. Our purpose there is

• "to be a religious, monastic, healing, and teaching order."

With the aim of expanding our church by attracting Associate Members, these purposes were distilled into the following characteristics of spirit, mind and body. These are felt to be minimum qualities necessary to be counted as a Paracelsian.

What is a Paracelsian?

1. A Paracelsian encourages the positive spiritual development of everyone and accepts all such religious expressions as valid.
2. A Paracelsian works in cooperation with others to foster a philosophy of freedom for all beings.
3. A Paracelsian takes responsibility for global unity through personal action.

How to Become
an
Associate Member.

I agree with these principles and will strive to apply them in all my activities. I want to become part of this eclectic religion and be considered an Associate Member of The Paracelsian Order. In becoming a Paracelsian I do not in any way renounce my affiliation with any other religions or religious organizations. I am returning this page signed and retaining one copy for myself.
